The Royal Signals White Helmets Final display - Signed limited edition

The White Helmets are the internationally acclaimed motorcycle display team of The Royal Corps of Signals. They are based in Blandford, Dorset but perform around the world. They were formed in 1927 and every year since then have been touring the country. Currently they use Triumph Tiger 750cc motorbikes and promote the Army in general and the Royal Corps of Signals in particular. They attend a wide variety of events such as fetes, fairs, country shows and, of course, bike shows.

2017 not only sees the 90ᵗʰ anniversary of this iconic display team but also their final display which takes place on the 30ᵗʰ September this year. To mark this final display of the White Helmets BFPS has produced a commemorative cover.

The cover bears an official team photograph by Basia Howard-Harwood, Event Photographer for the White Helmets, and shows the legendary team performing their famous stunt "the human pyramid". A 1st Class Post & Go stamp, with the White Helmets overprint, issued from The Royal Signals Museum will be cancelled by the unique British Forces Postal Service special handstamp No 3206. Both stamp and special handstamp carry the team's logo.

This limited edition of 50 covers only will be signed by Basia Howard-Harwood.

An information insert giving the history of the White Helmets will be included and this and the cover will be presented in a cellophane sleeve to create a high quality souvenir to mark this anniversary.

You will be able to order these covers via mail order by sending a cheque made out to BFPS CIC and sending it to BFPS, The Old Post Office, Links Place, Elie, Fife, KY9 1AX.
